Fly eating a fly? ID Please

I found this fly sitting on a bush in my Dorset garden today. It was about 1cm long. It looks like it is eating another fly...

Could anyone give me an identification for it?

It looks like a Yellow Dung Fly to me. If so, I can assure you that they aren't eating each other . . .

But I'm not that good with flies so you should check this out or get another ID from an expert.

Doesn't look like another Dung fly it's on.... so I thought it must be eating it. Why would I have these in a town away from "dung"? or does their habitat extend to gardens as well?
