Damselfly conformation please

Hi everyone,
I was accross at Stodmarsh to-day , lots of damselflys arround , singles and mating wheels, I am not sure about this little beaut, I think it's a common blue immature female and would appreciate some help,

It's definitely not a Common Blue Damselfly because of the short spur/half-line on the side of thorax which this species lack (also not showing the vulvar scale).

At Stodmarsh there are both Azure + Variable Damselflies, both of which have this thoracic spur.Being a female the only definite diagnostic difference will be to see the shape of the pronotum (not visible here- a dorsal view neded); the males are easier to tell apart. When I was at Stodmarsh a couple of weeks back Variable were more common.

looking at section 8 it suggests its a variable, as well as the markings along the sections 7-3 above this.
