| | Spiderlings Went into the garden today and saw what I first thought was a yellow fungus growing on the fence. When I took a closer look I realised that they were very, very tiny, yellow Spiderlings. At this point only a few were moving but later on when we were looking again something happened, like a pod bursting and they spread further apart, all moving now. They're incredibly cute and I was dreading the rain starting and washing them away. I took some pics which I will look at later but I doubt they can be identified, they're so tiny.

| | | Re: Spiderlings i think they are Araneus diadematus- garden cross orb weaver, but im not certain. After they shed a couple of times they should leave the web, alot will most probably be cannabilised, the rest will go on to have little spiderlings of their own. {thats if garden spiders do the same as tarantulas}.
I was forever fascinated with these when i was child. |
