Judging by the size of the flower it's perched on, I would have to agree with Small White as well .... and probably a female ... but if not, it's a male ....

The amount of black on the forewing suggests female Large White to me.

Is the size the only difference as the ammount of black on the wings seems to vary quite a lot, or is that a male female thing? |

I would have said its a cabbage white? I didnt think that the large/small whites had the black spots. but then im not good at naming anything 
isn't this one a large/small white? (no black dots on the wings)?
DOH!! i have just read that they are the same (feels a bit silly now) |

tr33lo, that looks like a male Large White to me. On Large Whites the black on the forewing extends round the tip much further than it does on the Small White.
