Anyone had any luck finding any hairy dragonflys this year?
I went to epping forest today to look for some - found plenty of alderflys and a few large red damsels but no luck with dragonflys. |

Seen nothing yet. All I've seen is about eight large reds yesterday at Whisby. Took a couple of shots but they were so poor I've deleted them!
Nothing anywhere else and believe me I've been looking!   |

No luck in our part of Suffolk, I'm not even sure they're found here.

I was at Wake valley pond, somewhere Im told they are present. When do you reckon the best time will be to see them? |

Wake Valley's speciality is Downy Emerald which is also an early species, so with luck you'll get both these species! |

Haven't seen any at Messingham in Lincolnshire this year as yet. Last year I photographed my first Hairy at Messingham on 30th April.
