Kev | Well you live in the right area for them but I am not convinced that it isn't a Common Blue. A shot of the inner wing would be more conclusive.

| | | Re: Conformation of ID please Hi Sticky, it is difficilt to tell the diffrence between the two "Blues" however it is possible. the underwings of the Common Blue have clear white fringes as in your beautiful image, but the rarer Adonis and even the Chalkhill Blues are fringed with broken grey and white. Your image is superb though how did your manage that? Or were they to preoccupied doing what comes naturally!!!!

Glad you like the piccy Tornado, they were a little pre-occupied to worrey about me. The piccy needs some work done on it but I shot it in RAW so it should come out OK.
