| | Insect ID Confirmations Please! Hi,
Just a couple of IDs Please! 1. Common earwig? It was dead, but I'd still like to know as I don't recognise the red-ish eyes or long antennae. 2. Is this Gonocerus acuteangulatus? 3. A few shots of what I think is Colletes cunicularius. Is it? ...the sweet little thing even let me hold it!
Any help, as always, will be genuinely appreciated.
Take care,
Jason |

Eucera is the expert on bees, but it does look a bit like Andrena fulva to me, though I could well be wrong! |

What is Gonocerus acuteangulatus's UK distribution, I read it was 'historically rare'. What is it's current status? |

| | | Re: Insect ID Confirmations Please! Its expnding throughout south easy England, and their are some records in the south west to, so its a good find. Yours looks alittle damaged. They are also found on plants like hawthorn, blackthorn, buckthorn etc. Not just Box. |

It now seems to utilise quite a wide range of plants + is fairly widespread, if not common, in the London area at least. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
