ID of a fly
Hello

Could someone please let me know what they think this fly is. It was about 1.5cm long. Red eyes and golden body.

Well it's a male hoverfly - not sure of species though.

Looks superficially like a Playcheirus but seems to have a pale scutellum, so could be a Melangyna or Parasyrphus.
