Right.
Here we go again.
Found this wee chappie resting on our watering can yesterday.
About 2cm long,and pretty docile (dopey really).
Is this a honey bee. A drone?
Or something else.
Come on eucera... help a hymenoptera novice out purlease! (again!)

These lovely pics are not honey bees. Check out the hind legs - there is no pollen basket (corbiculum). However the hind legs do have pollen carrying hairs (scopa) and so these are certainly female bees and not "drones".
They are of a female Andrena bee of some sort, and I am not able to be certain which species I'm afraid. There are several largish species about at this time of year, and in the absence of any obvious distinctive coloration, I am not prepared to offer a species name. I can tell you a few species that this is NOT... but that will be of small comfort to you.

A female Andrena it is then.
I have got another photo of another TINY wee Andrena, but I'm sure without dissecting the little blighter, I'll have to leave that one at Andrena sp.also...
