Well, I only saw it for literally a second as it alit a Dandelion - and I can't think of anything else that is dark-winged, with a small round orange body! |

Lots of other butterflies about as I went on a six hour walk on the edge of the Chilterns around the Beds/Bucks border. Numerous Brimstones, Speckled Woods and Peacocks, plus three or four Orange Tips and Small Tortoiseshells.
Saw an Orange Tip fly beside the house and into the back garden as I got home, too |
