| | | Re: Cylindera? This is definitely a ground beetle of the genus Notiophilus, and the most likely option is Notiophilus biguttatus, but there are several similar species in the genus.

I've got a photo by my daughter of a similar looking beetle - which I'd been trying to ID, so nice to get it to genus at least. |

| | | Re: Cylindera? Yes, that's also Notiophilus, nice picture  . The tiger beetles are usually bigger (at least 1cm as opposed to about 0.5cm for Notiophilus).
