| | | Sunbathing. In february. What a glorious day its been here in the saaff of England today. Unbroken blue skies, and I'll guess at a temp of around 14c - not too shady for early February eh?
Yes. I know. We will almost certainly have blizzards now that I've mentioned warmth, but hey ho, I intend to make the most of it...
The usual suspects (early "risers") were out in force in the garden today.
I've had Drone flies and Cluster Flies, Money Spiders, Zebra Spiders, Black Ants and Pine Ladybirds all chasing each other all over the place, and soaking up this sun on our fence.
I'll just pop two photographs up- the Zebra Spider ( I know its no insect) (a very wee one this individual) and one of our rampant Pine Ladybirds. On the fence under an Urban Lime (I hear these Ladybirds are very adaptable - eating scale insects off Lime and other tree species - not JUST Pine - far from it).
Click on the thumbnails and then the images to sharpen them.
Anyway, I've thoroughly enjoyed today, chasing these wee beasties around the garden!

| | | Re: Sunbathing. In february. Yes it's great to see a bit of sunshine. It's been fairly mild up here in central Scotland for the past two days. Saw my first bat of the year last night and a couple of moths flew in to my room while I was reading so there is obviously food for the bats. Perhaps it's a sign of better weather. |

A glorious day here in Cambs as well - bright sunshine and a beautiful clear blue sky - very Spring-like.
Hopefully we'll have a nice sunset this evening as well as I've treated myself to a set of ND grad filters this week and I'm keen to try them out - perhaps with a few shots of the evening sun setting over the hills of Cambridgeshire.
(Alright, I lied about the hills )

Jeff | With the "wildebeest sweeping majestically across the (cambs) plain" also, I assume! |

I do hope that none of yesterday's sunbathers will have suffered as a result.
Still with a bright sunny start the makings of another fine day, hopefully with more sunbathers out today. I'll keep my eyes open around the garden.

Fabulous morning today, the sky was lighting up from the East at 6-30 too.
