| |  Please Identify my Grasshopper...
I spotted this in late summer last year - resting on a discarded orange - missing a leg. What species is it - maybe a juvenile? 
Perhaps a female Rufous? (though the pictures I've seen are browner) 
And this if poss - is it Common Field/lesser marsh?
Any help appreciated as always!!

Hi Jason,
I'd say the first is a male Meadow Grasshopper, and the second probably a Field Grasshopper nymph.

Yes dark knee's and abdominal shape suggest its a male, species looks rite too Chorthippus parallelus.
Keels look spot on for Chorthippus brunneus nymph too. |
