another from the compost bin

Can you ID this larva living on the underside of my compost bin lid.
It's about 10mm in length.

Again Diptera (fly) larva. They do love compost bins . This one is the larva of one of the Fanniidae species. The lesser housefly is a good bet species wise Fannia canicularis quite common in the UK, Fanniidae larva feed on decaying organic matter, so your compost bin to them is total heaven.
