Along the lines of wine ropes to attract moths and butterflies etc. I have put out an old cotton bag filled with gone over apples, grapes, oranges, banana, mashed and hung up high
it is covered with insects of all kinds the smell must be drawing them from miles away,now I need to prevent it drying out
Does anyone have similar "come ons "in their garden (I used to use delrosa rosehip syrup to get hummingbird hawk moths to stay and have their pictures taken)

Not tried anything that elaborate and i think the missus would have something to say about loads of off fruit hung all over the garden

Would be interested to see what people use, if anything, to get butterflies and dragonflies to sit still long enough for a piccy.

Don't know about the fruit going over, but the rose-hip would attract me, let alone insects! I was filled up with the stuff in my childhood-loved it, still do! Never got colds or the like, so your butterflies must be pretty healthy too! ww
