Any ideas what shed this ?

Tiny insect exuvium on a leaf- body length about 1.5mm.
Any ideas what it belonged to ?

Size re-estimate at about 2.5mm body length.

Interesting find, Brian.

I'm afraid this is just a bit of a guess, but if the projections from the hind tibiae are spines, then could be a leafhopper (or planthopper?). If of course it's even a bug...

Yep, this one's a leafhopper of some sort... going by the shape I'd guess at a typhlocybine of some sort, but there's no way I'm going any further than that!

Thanks for the ID - does seem logical. Oddly although there seemed to be loads of these on fallen leaves don't think I've ever seen a live leaf hopper nymph.
