Insects from Moore Nature Reserve

I took these insect pics in July 2007 at Moore nature Reserve near Warrington. Any help with IDs would be greatly appreciated.

1: Sawfly. Tenthredinidae sp
2: Oedemera sp Possibly O. lurida or female O.nobilis
3: Heterotoma merioptera
4: Strangalia maculata

Agree with all the above, except that it's Heterotoma planicornis. There's been a lot of confusion over these in the past, but as far as I'm aware, they're now regarded as synonyms, with planicornis having priority.

So planicornis & merioptera are both synonyms of the same species?

That's my understanding, based on Nau's compilation of the current names of Southwood & Leston's Heteroptera.

all these name changes ill never learn .

Oh well least i got the ID's right even if i did use old school names.
