Probably Common Carder-bee (Bombus pascuorum) - there are a couple of similar, but much less common, species

Bombus pascuorum is very easily confused with bombus humilis and bombus muscorum and can only be told apart with a microscopic examination, but if your bee was found in woodland then it is most likely to be bombus pascuorum...............Jon (reading his bee book)
