Hoverfly found deceased in conservatory foliage (some sort of Dracaena). What is it please?

Based on the wing venation, I'd say this isn't a hoverfly - there should a vein parallel to the margin, which isn't there. Some sort of soldier fly instead..? |

Hi, you're quite right, you can see two facial spots which I hadn't noticed, so it may well be S.bipunctatus. This sp is around late summer/autumn - my photos of this fly certainly show yellow legs. BW Tristan |
