| | | It bit me! Winged Insect....?? The other day in attempting to throw a wiged insect out of the window I was concious of a bite/sting?......Somewhat smaller than a Daddy-long-legs it had a body that curved under (maybe half inch in length), with a thin "waste" that separated the head section, with 4 wings,Long antennae,Obvious bulbous eyes, the whole insect being the size of an old penny. Forgive my amateur description for I'm no expert.......I would love to attach an image for I did take a photo or two. Any thoughts? With thanks, TG. |

| | | Re: It bit me! Winged Insect....?? Mmmm. Had a look. It'd be nice to see a side view. As I say, the one that I encountered had a rear body that curved down.......I have a photo, but after it died so its a little distorted.......it fell in some water. But thanks for the response. TG. |

TG. | These wasps have an ovipositor (egg laying tube) and when laying curve their bodies. |
