| | | Re: Final set of things for ID No4 is a short palped cranefly and looks like one of the Limoniinea. It could be Atypophythalamus inusta but I can't see the pleurae to be sure (even though the thorax looks orange enough). If it is then it's a woodland species that breeds in fungus.

| | | Re: Final set of things for ID How strongly woodland are we talking? I found this in long grass next to a lake, there were trees in the hedges 10m away (possibly with fungi) but not any woods for a fair distance. |
