| | | Which Bush Cricket? When I saw this last night I thought it was a speckled bush cricket, now I have seen the photo I see it has silverish horizontal stripes. The others I have seen in the garden have had a vertical brown stripe. Can someone put me straight - thanks. |

| | | Re: Which Bush Cricket? If you mean the stripes round the body, these are just the stripes between the segments. Looks like Speckled Bush-cricket to me. I suppose it could be another, non-British species if you took it in Ijmuiden. Have you any pics of the ones with brown stripes on?

Thanks henrya, yes I did mean the stripes around the body, they look a bit like metal bands.
Here is another photo of what I think is a Speckled Bush Cricket, which was taken a month ago today. |
