It's a moth basically. A species of Plume moth. The moth experts should be able to tell you more later.
I often have them turn up indoors.

These are very difficult to identify to species level, but it's probably Emmelina monodactyla. It doesn't have an English name.

There seem to be a lot of these moths this year, I haven't noticed them before. Are they a relatively new species or are they thriving because of the wet warm summer. I saw a lovely silver grey one the other day.
