Finally saw my first Painted Lady's of the year today

a couple on some "wild" Buddlea. Also lots of mint condition Red Admiral and Small Torts, with a single Brimstone

Got my 1st yesterday in garden, today in garden had 6 Red Admiral, 3 painted Lady, 5 Small White, Large White, Comma, Brimstone along with Brown Hawker, Migrant Hawker and 2 Common Darter and a Willow warbler thrown in. Cheers

Thats one place i always keep meaning to visit and never seem to

Had one Painted Lady in the garden this evening, must have been a few migrating during the last few days

The sun has come out this evening for the first time in over a week here in west London, so I'm hoping to see some butterflies + other bugs over this weekend when forecast looks promising!

hi the same here in the fens but it was about three in the afternoon,amazing what a drop of sun dose butterflys all over the place,first time for the last few days bees were buzzing to all the flowers even though they are a bit bedragled with all the rain,dosnt seem to bother them though,birds were singing my cockatiels were mateing, more babies good,tomorrow sounds promising as well i know where i will be tomorrow in my garden.
