| | | One to stay clear of! Think we were warned about this critter a while back. Slap on the repellent and hope a cold winter sees them off! Do wish the papers weren't such panic merchants though!!! Deadly mosquito has landed in Britain | the Daily Mail

I don't know..... 3000 people are killed on the road every year and there's an outcry at the use of speed cameras - yet the papers seem to panic at the tinyest non- risk there is!!
I was reading about a group of people in Londond threatening to sue their local water supplier for not keeping on top of mosquitos these people wre convinced were breeding at the local sewage plant - God I hope the sewage plants don't go in heavy handed with the pesticides (which they probably wil too avert the risk of a court case) those places act like huge bird tables through the winter being warm and full of insects - pesticides would soon put pay to that |

I don't think any of the insect replants are any good we all went to Scotland and got eaten alive, I looked as though I had been blasted with a shot gun, tried several varieties of replant including a brand from OZ ,brought
by the in-laws "super strength NOT " I think the midges found it some sort of nurishment Hi Hi

| Yep-think the article says that it's probably not hot enough to carry disease.

| | | Re: One to stay clear of! I'm not sure if you guys have heard or tried it but Avons Skin so Soft is supposed to be very good as an insect repellent (contains Citronella). I know people who have tried it in Scotland and not got a single bite. I have also heard that the Army use it because it is so good. I just need to remember to use it.......doh

I'm not sure how this is supposed to work?!? |
