you have confirmed my first thoughts. Trouble is, I've found
pictures that contradict this ID. Is there a notable difference
between male and female?

between male and female? | I wouldn't know to be honest. I'm certainly no expert, I looked it up on BioImages, there does seem to be a bit of variety Leiobunum rotundum (Latreille, 1798) (a harvestman)
