Found on uncultivated grass field at Anston, Little Stones (SSSI).
There several active during the evening.

Yes that's definitely a skipper and looks like a large skipper to me but I'm very new to lepidoptera so someone may correct me very quickly
BTW, I see you've posted it as an unidentified moth, which is exactly the mistake I made when I first photographed one, as it's really a butterfly. It's the clubs on the antennae that are the best guide. Moths have feathery antenae.

I did think moth, mainly due to its size, but on looking through the Gallery realized that it looked like a skipper.
I thought the set of the wings at rest was unusual, as one pair seemed to be flat, while the other pair were held at about 45 deg.
I have learnt another ID feature today - the club or feather antennae. Thanks for that.
