| | Is this lonchaea chorea?? We managed to avoid the rain today and take a quick walk with the dogs to nearby Little Stones. Surprisingly there were plenty of butterflies, bees etc about but I also came across this little chap
Now from looking at my Collins Field Guide it looks like "lonchaea chorea" although after finding nothing in the WAB Gallery I did some googling and this fly doesn't seem very common and I certainly couldn't find any photos, although it was mentioned as being present in Anston Stones Wood next door.
Could anybody confirm if this is lonchaea chorea or is it something far more common that isn't in my field guide.

I should have guessed it wasn't something interesting, serves me right for trying to look it up as if it was blue not green |
