New Flying Insects ?

Hello me and my mom was just watching this new show the jekell, then i heard a random buzz like a bee or a wasp then suddenly that buzzing sound
stopped and my mom started to scream the flying insect was about 4cm it had brown/orange legs and didint look like a bee or a wasp it was completely different
i know lately England has been having storms and they might off brought this insect over here but what was it ?

I didint have time to take a picture my mom stunned it and she was screaming at me to get it out of the house...

Plus i need some new AAA battles for my digital camera.


I will post more further details of the insect as soon as i find it again i kinda flung it out of the front door...

You're sure it didn't look like a very big wasp? It could have been a hornet ...

Is it too late for it to be a maybug? Aka Cockchafer? search for this in the Gallery to see pics, it's a rather large beetle that buzzes quite loudly

Maybe some sort of Ichneumon - e.g. Ophion luteus.

I don't no what it was i know it wasent a bee or a wasp.

But if i come across it again hopefully i'll trap it in a glass cup and take a photo for you guys.

plus it was too dark too see what it looked like.

Yh i think i know what you are talking about, i've let one out of my house and my dad has killed another, its really wierd its lik a locus or something and it sounds like a bee, quite big, has orange legs, green body, strong wings, doesnt have stripes like a bee. My brother thought the first one came down the chimney but he's not sure on that!

Ive been wanting to know about what it is as well so any help would be grate!

I know its so strange Must off been brought from another country.

Probley - China - Japan - etc.
