Same patterning as a kidney-spot ladybird but wrong colour spots. Harlequin maybe?

It looks like a harlequin. I think it's got white edges on the pronotum and the markings are more like a harlequin. The kidney spot's spots are more like bars than a disc. |

However, as you say, the diagnostic point is that kidney-spot ladybirds do not have white on their forebody. | | |
