Pyrausta, but which one?
I'm not really into moths but I do like to know what I see! Can anyone confirm whether this is Pyrausta aurata please? It was released unharmed - the underside picture was taken through a petri dish!

I would agree with your ID of a mint moth Pyrausta aurata

Thanks! I found the moth in the kitchen today. There's a large pot of mint just under the window so it must have emerged and decided it would be warmer indoors.
