Small Tortoiseshell?

Saw this little fella on nettles this morning, so I think he is probably a caterpillar of the Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) – would someone more knowledgeable than myself care to confirm or deny this?

certainly looks like the mature caterpillar of the small tortoishell. so i'd go with your id!

just returning the favour! flutterbys are my favourites, and it just so happens we have these in our garden....

and i don't want to be completely normal...where's the fun in that?
