Can anyone ID this largish in Caterpillar terms hairy Caterpillar. Taken on the 10th May 2007.
It was on the edge of a reed bed eating a reed stem if that's any help. I thought at first it was a Drinker moth Caterpillar but it looks a bit too hairy compared to others in the Gallery.

| | | Re: ID on this hairy one please At a guess Steve I would say a good two and a half inches long and at the rate it was chomping that reed it wouldn't be long before it was three inches.
