| | | Please... WHAT is this thing??
It has only 6 legs at the front and looks suspiciuouly like one of the dried mealworms but it's hairy!!??
Was thinking caterpillar but it has only the 6 legs at the front and drags it's abdomen across the floor...

It's not anything that will infest the house is it? |

| | | Re: Please... WHAT is this thing?? To me, it looks like a dermestes beetle larvae, which is harmless. They are associated with bird and mouse nests, and also where dried animal food is stored. I found one running round my bath some years ago, I think it came in with the washing basket. We never saw any others. I think they can infest, but calm yourself, you'll need more than one for that!
Ever ready to see the cuteness, the critter in my bath had lovely ginger hair |

Will have to get a better box for the rat food in case eh!
Panic has somewhat subsided now and I realise I am being silly lol. I just do NOT like it... It's all weird! The rats will probably eat any more, no chance of an infestation with my lot I'm sure! |

| | | Re: Please... WHAT is this thing?? Great picture Platinum. Must be a very placid rat!
The plastic thing I found was about the only thing slow enough for me to get a decent shot My first stoat for many years ran about 15 ft in front of me,I got a nice picture of the road.
