| | | SKINNER leaves me spewing I got all excited this morning when the postie came and left two packages, one which was obviously a nice new CF card, which are cheap as chips on Amazon now, and also a book, of which it could have been many.
Turns out it was Skinner, of which I also thought I had got myself a right bargain.
Not so.
Look at the quality of the print, which seems to be down to the pages having creases in them. Not what you expect from a £50 book.
Luckily I kept the packaging, but it just goes to show you should always check the book back to front as soon as it received, just in case.

Sorry to see the state of that book. I don't know what you paid for it but as a beginner (like me) to mothing I think that is the wrong book to buy. IMHO the Waring book is far better as it gives moths in natural poses not pinned out like in Skinner.

| | | Re: SKINNER leaves me spewing Thats a bit of swine pal, fortunately mine was flawless when it arrived last week, although I have always made a habit of checking them through as soon as they arrive.
They'll soon have a new copy on its way to you, they are good folk to deal with. |

John | Its not as difficult to use as it might seem John & to be honest if you are getting into Mothing then I would advise that you own both books.
In addition to this I'd also recommend that you get yourself a copy of "British Pyralid Moths" by Barry Goater, another invaluable book for anyone seriously into Moths. |
