I have found this website which shows photos of crane fly larvae/pupae (ok maybe not the right species or anything) but at least I've got an idea of what to look for. I examined the box today - there are at least four larvae still in there and they haven't changed much at all. I have noticed though that they are developing feelers/mouth parts? at the front. I didn't manage to get a good photo today but I will try later (I have to go to work now  ) but I can definitely see a small change in them
I will then take photos every few days/once a week and hopefully record the development
I'm really looking forward to seeing the changes
