| | | Overwintering in Kent A true "Man of Kent", I was born and raised in the county, and still spend about half the year "overwintering" here. However, in the summer, I usually "migrate" to the Bulgarian Mountains where I run my own eco-tourism company Balkan Trek Bulgaria - Walking and Wildlife (Holidays in Bulgaria). This is one of the leading eco-tourism companies in Bulgaria and specializes in organising walking, birdwatching, botany and wildlife watching holidays.
I am passionate about nature, both British and Bulgarian, about its protection and about showing it to others. In particular, I enjoy nothing more than sharing the pleasure and wonder of wildlife with my four year old son. He already seems to be hooked on the subject, and we spend hours together searching for "creatures" in the garden, in the Kent countryside and in the Bulgarian Mountains.
I am delighted to have found this excellent forum, and look forward to learning more from other members about different aspects of British Wildlife, as well as sharing with you all from time to time some of the sightings, discoveries and excitement experienced by my little son as we explore together the magic and mystery of the British flora and fauna. |

Your holidays in the Balkans sound interesting. Apparently some nice butterflies there, according to a friend of ours.
