| | | Hi from Buckinghamshire I must confess to having found this site some months ago but my lack of computer skills has been putting me off registering.
Anyhow, as WAB seems such a friendly place, I have overcome my fear of computers (well nearly) and here I am (I think). |

Welcome. I've found that not only are people a friendly bunch on this website but they're very knowledgeable as well.

| | | Re: Hi from Buckinghamshire Hello Ann, I'm glad you decided to join us here and say hello. I'm not so good with the computer myself it took a few months before I could work out hoe to shrink my photo's so I could upload them to WAB. But everyday I learn something new here and now and again can actually help! Hope you enjoy yourself , see you around |

Welcome to WAB. I'm also from Bucks and reasonably new (if we're talking WAB) although other parts are definitely a bit older! I came over seeking asylum from the BBC wildlife forum because everyone here is really friendly and obviously fascinated by our fantastic wildlife regardless where we live, how old or young we are or how much each of us knows.
What do you think is the best thing about being in Bucks? - orchids, beech woodlands carpeted in bluebells, chalk streams / downland, the views from the Chiltern escarpment? there's so much to see - here's an impression of me every time a see a red kite
Cheers, Chris |

I might be asking for your advice then goosey (on shrinking photos) when I get settled in. |

Ann | i must adnit that i hadnt noticed that what was it originally ? if it had punctuation in it like asterisks etc they may have been taken out as they can srew up the software and cause it to confuse users (dont ask me why - even i'm not that techy)

| | | Re: Hi from Buckinghamshire Hi,
I'm from just outside Aylesbury too. I don't know how well you know the local wildlife but I walked up over Grangelands at the weekend (near Chequers, between Wendover and Princes Risborough) and the cowslips were just starting to come up. In a few weeks the fields there will be an amazing sea of yellow and a bit closer to Aylesbury is Aston Clinton Rag Pits, which few people seem to visit but has a fantastic display of orchids in June / July | Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildllife Trust |.
Welcome to WAB.

Thank you for the local info Chris, I haven't heard of Grangelands.
