| | | Hello from Derbyshire I only found out about this site yesterday and I am very impressed.
I live in Derbyshire and my interests are Digital Photography and Wildlife, those local to me may see me wandering around Attenborough Nature Reserve and Carsington Water two of my favourite haunts.
regards

| | | Re: Hello from Derbyshire Good morning and welcome Digi. I count the Peak District generally as one of my favourite places. Can well remember making my way up behind Matlock railway station one Sat. morning and then sitting on the wall overlooking the quarry and across the town. It was so peaceful with lovely views and birdlife around us - so very different from the hustle and bustle of work we used to experience during the rest of the week. Magic! |

Digi | Hi digi, I've already commented on some of your excellent shots you've posted so far, Love to see more!
If you look at mine you'll also see that Attenborough is my favourite site as well.. I go 2-3 times a week, so we've probably passed each other many times. |

Cheers for the compliments about the site. It's thanks to all our visitors and members who help to build the pages that make it look so impressive.
It's great to see that you're straight into adding and editing info in the reference section, posting in the forums and submitting photos in the gallery - that's exactly what the site's all about and you're now part of the Wild About Britain family
Cheers

Whats it like for Dragonflies?
Might be a good opportunity for some of us to actually meet each other

Might be a good opportunity for some of us to actually meet each other | There is a butterfly area and you get plenty of dragonflies along the Trent. They are too fast moving for me.
It would be a good place for some of us to meet up. |

I am hopeless at bird photography, just can't seem to crack it so I stick to insects.
Thats whats so brilliant about the WAB gallerys, loads of great photographers, specialising in different aspects of wildlife photography sharing images & advice with others.

You can maximise your chances by targeting certain species of Dragonfly as some follow regular flight paths or even hover, it's still not easy, but it helps.
