Hello everyone,
This is a really nice site that I hope to learn from and hopefully contribute to. I am very interested in wild birds and am a member of the RSPB. I look forward to contributing and discussing all that is good/interesting that is wild in Britain. |

Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, the area I live which is right near the Monmouthshire /Brecon canal. Just north is the Brecon beacons. Like many places there are a wide and diverse range of habitats to be found locally.
The RSPB has a reserve at Newport and is a place I frequent. The RSPB: Newport Wetlands
I am looking forward to discussing more of the many hidden gems of locations that are off the beaten track with the more seasoned posters here.
