Hello from Surrey

Hi,
an introduction from me, Jeff, and my wife Jane. I’ve been lurking around for a while and it’s nice to find a bunch of people who take so much pleasure from the wild world around us, often right under our noses.

We’ve been spending a lot of time during autumn and winter around the coast, estuaries and marshes of Kent, a quite wonderful area for visiting birds from all over. It was amazing to see birds wintering from Greenland, Scandinavia and Russia mixing together in the same little pond. Magic!

Recently we could have stayed at home though because, in the last couple of weeks, the garden seems to have been invaded by about half of the wildlife population of Surrey, devouring everything they can lay their beaks or paws on, wrecking the feeders and generally behaving like hooligans!
