| | | New to the forum Hello all,
I’m new on here and looking to change my career into the field of Wildlife research/biology. I have always had a passion for wildlife and the environment. Problem is, I’m 30, I have a family to support and did my degree in IT so I can’t just drop everything to go back to university etc.
I’m from the North-East of England so if anyone has any advise please; I would love to hear it. It’s taken a while but I finally know what I want to do with my life ha-ha.
I have started a blog to if anyone is interested. David Campbell's Blog |

| | | Re: New to the forum Welcome to WAB Sigrunn, I hope you can find out about your career information,
you can always do some voluntary work while you think about it and it would look better at interviews if you can trot out what you have done. Where is your nearest big town?

| | | Re: New to the forum Hi Littlesparrow, thanks for the speedy reply.
I live in Sunderland, we are a little limited regarding wildlife and conservation here but I have emailed the WWT Washington site, only a few miles from where I live, and offered to volunteer for them, just waiting to hear back. SO I have started the volunteer bit.
Just need advice on courses that may be useful, books to, as I am hoping to study Wildlife biology or Zoology when I get a bit more experience and knowledge under my belt so to speak. |

Welcome to WAB.
You might get a broader spread of ideas if you ask your question(s) in this forum: Outdoor Activities - Wildlife and Environment Jobs at wildaboutbritain.co.uk
All the best with your quest for a career.

Hope you find something, and welcome to the forum!
