Hey I'm Ben

Hey guys.
I love wildlife, I like to just look at birds and other animals, but unfortunately I'm one of the people who only see the good wildlife when I haven't got my camera, so I probably wont be posting a lot of images hehe.
Anyway, if theres any questions you want to ask then fire away!
And I hope I have a great time here, I know I will. This is my first ever wildlife forum by the way, I think it's great but if I do get a bit lost forgive me.

Oh, and in the Wild places and geography forum, does it have to be where birds etc. are, or can it just be about a nice place?

Bye,
Ben.

Ben! It's great to have you with us and you'll find that you won't need another forum because all you want will be here on WAB.

Enjoy all the wildlife with us.

Jules

Re: Hey I'm Ben

Yep, I'm definately not joining any other wildlife forums after looking through here.
Oh yeah I forgot, another reason for me not taking many pictures is because I know nothing about cameras, mine is a HP 7.0 mega pixels digital camera. That's all just words to me, I haven't got a clue. I only really bought it for taking pictures of the family etc. So is it good or terrible? Heh. It's good enough for the family anyway.

Ben.

Re: Hey I'm Ben

Hi Ben Welcome to WAB. I'm also a bit shy at posting my photo's here but I'm working up to it This is a really great place if you are into wildlife and very friendly. Have a browse and just have your say when ever you fancy - it's easy - there's no stopping me and I only ever intended to say hello then use WAB as reference.

Ben. Be prepared to get very interested in photography!!! Once you start taking wildlife pictures-that's it-you're hooked. There are superb photographers on WAB who will help you out with any camera queries. Your camera sounds fine and with 7megapixels to play around with, you should get some great pictures.

Jules

If you browse through the photography forum(probably take you about a month ) I'm sure you'll find threads that will help you get started and if not, start one and stand back as all the friendly advice starts pouring in! They know what they're talking about and do look through the galleries to get some inspiration. The gallery is the best on the web, believe me!

Hi Ben and a warm welcome to WAB. Jules has already pointed you in the right direction so I won't add any more except enjoy the site and fire away with any questions or things you think we might be interested in.

Hi Ben, I see you've already commented on one of my shots, so your doing fine so far!
You can ask any question you like or start a thread on any related wildlife subject, if it's out of bounds it will be gently dragged back in.
Enjoy your time here, I look forward to seeing lots of post from you, if not pictures, although your camera is a fine tool that's quite capable of taking some interesting shots.

Yes, you have a beautiful gallery, I love how you can see all the birds feathers in a lot of your photos.

Hi Ben,

A warm welcome to WAB, you are right this is the best site for info and the galleries are the best on the web.
You will find you can capture some good photos with your camera (you will be surprised) I carry my compact every where with me (any photo is better than none).

Carol.
