Red face Hello from Nikon Nige

Just a quick note to join in and say Hello! At least four of the members on this site will recognise the name, as they gave it me! Finally joined in with the gang (Boddie, Fourwings, Oscar2006 and MTR) (I am the one lucky enough to own a Nikon, amongst the Canon masses!)
I spent 12 years working as an Inspector with the RSPCA and specialised in wildlife - both care and rehabilitation and law enforcement, and now work for Natural England in wildlife management and licensing, with a healthy (and growing) amount of enforcement thrown in via field investigations for the illegal use of pesticides to poison wildlife scheme, and also the various wildlife acts.
My main interests are ornithology, mammals and reptiles, and most things aquatic or forestry related (hence a bizarre combination of degrees!) and more recently Odonata (mostly thanks to Mark for opening my eyes in this regard) and inevitably heading down the mothing line too!
Cheers, Nigel

Re: Hello from Nikon Nige

Welcome to WAB Nigel, from a naturalist from Norfolk who now lives in Hungary !

I've only just gone over to digi as I was so used to film, was suspicious of the new technology, and ............. I just loved paying for processing !!!

Good to have you among the WAB community !

Best wishes,

Colin.

Re: Hello from Nikon Nige

Hi Nige. It's great to have you with us. Nice intro too!
A degree in odonata! Tell me more. I would be interested in doing that myself, seeing as I've fallen for the blessed dragonflies, hook, line and sinker!

So now we have Nikon Nige, Canonman, when will Olly Olympus or Fuji Fiona join us? he he.

Enjoy the site Nige.

Jules

Hi Nige,

A warm welcome to WAB, I look forward to your photos - but I enjoy looking at photos even if taken with a box brownie.

Re: Hello from Nikon Nige

Hi Nige, good to see you are now up and posting with WAB.
I'm sure we will soon see a few of those Nikon images in the gallery before long, and then the masses can compare your best efforts against those of the "Canon lads"

I confess that my Avatar is a Nikon image
But I'll work on it now I have a proper camera again and get a decent one uploaded!

Hi Nige: Welcome. Sounds like we need more Nikonians here. I'm one, having just joined this community two days ago. Look forward to reading your posts and viewing some images.
