| | | Spider in my Shed Hello everyone,
I am new here because today while in the garden shed I found a rather large spider that has quite honestly sent shivers down my spine. Could anyone please help me to find out what kind it is, as looking on web sites is just sending more shivers down my spine!! I tried to add the photo to the site but apparently the photo is too big in size... msg me to help me please. Thanks, Deedar. |

| | | Re: Spider in my Shed Hiya Deedar! Well first off, I'm no expert on our eight legged freinds. I do know though, that the more you read/learn about these wonderful creatures, the more you will learn to accept and even love them. If you can overcome your fear, you'll be in for a treat. As for species, I'd guess it's a Teg' (don't know how to spell the full name lol) but as I say, I'm not an expert. Welcome to the forum by the way. Wizzo

Re-size your original photo to 800 x 600px, the try uploading it to WAB again.
It should work!

| | | Re: Spider in my Shed Thanks for your help, I didn't know I had to resize the photo... so that too was looked up... luckily not sending shivers down my spine this time. The photo has been loaded up and the spider is here...
I really am very thankful for any feedback on this as I am a big baby with the spiders.

Try posting your photo in the 'Insects' section of the forum.
I'm sure someone will reply soon and tell you what species it is!

| | | Re: Spider in my Shed it looks like a ( Tegenaria duellica) house spider it found in
Houses and out buildings (sheds, garages etc.)
This is one of about a dozen species which inhabit houses and outbuildings - hence the common name house spider compleatley harmless
