Hi Folks,
I just stumbled on this website looking for info about a pyracantha and I am glad I did. 
I am the chairperson of our local neighbourhood association and we are involved in maintaining the wildlife and biodiversity of our local cemetery.

Thanks everyone. It was really nice to receive the welcomes.
As I mentioned before I actually was looking for information for a pyracantha.
The reason for this was that my greenhouse had been robbed by children hours earlier. 
Sadly I had to cut down an evergreen shrub that had grown sideways creating a perfect "ladder" for the kids to climb up onto my shed roof and down my water butt into the garden. I have to admit I don't feel happy about this so I can't wait until I can get the pyracanthas into the ground so I can stop feeling guilty.
I've read that all 7 species flower but does anyone have experience of bees like a particular one? |

I've just had a look at your link. I live close by in Beverley and will pop down and have a look round in the next week or so,perhaps I can contribute some photo's for your web site.
I also found your links to the Transition initiative and Permaculture interesting
Might I suggest you add a link to WAB? it is a great site for anyone wanting help to ID plant and Wildlife, the wealth of knowledge and expertise available is amazing.
