Unsurprisingly, hello!! :D

Um, discovered this site mainly due to Ray Mears' new series on the BBC, decided to google for edible British plants and this site came up. Been hiking/camping/backwooding since I was roughly 11/12, when i joined the Scouts. Luckily my troop was very outdoor orientated and went away "roughing it" every couple of weeks. Just got back into hiking and "proper" camping with a mate from work and keen to re-discover and learn more about things such as eating off the land, proper bivvie building (something I haven't done, till recently, for many years!), photography of the things we come across etc. Hoping to learn alot from this site and the people on here. Know the VERY basics of stuff, but eager to both broaden and deepen my knowledge.

Hi Jondalar,

A warm welcome to WAB, use to do a bit of backpacking and camping when younger but need my creature comforts now, sure you will find all the people here very helpful and knowledgeable on the out door life.

Carol.

Hiya jondalar,
Welcome from a fellow walker ( since I was one and a half according to my
mum ) I'm new here myself but I'm hooked already. Look forward to hearing
about your expeditions.
