1 pair of blue tits 2 boxes
i have a pair of bluetits in my garden they go in 1 nest box come out then go into an open fronted nest box which had a pair of robins nesting in (abandoned) they are not building a nest yet will they consider nesting in the open fronted box ?

Perhaps they are going in the ex-robins nest to look for insects? they are more likely to nest in the tit box.
