Welcome to WAB.
There are quite a few threads on foraging so you should learn lots here (but there are some strict but necessary rules about discussing the edibility of fungi on WAB. See the rules for more info. )

| | | Re: hiya from coventry im not overly interested in foraging for mushrooms or other funghi, figure its better to leave that to the experts!, but im amazed at the amount of potential food sources we seem to pass by everyday and dismiss.
i recently discovered how tasty wild sorrel was andhave also begun making homemade wines from fruits i have gathered from my local area. |

I forage a little, just been picking ramson (wild garlic) leaves which are now added to the curry. This plant is available to buy from wildflower specialists, planted amongst roses helps ward off aphids. Besides ramsons I pick Lime leaves, goose grass, nettles which flavour a good homemade quiche. Good books are Richard Mabey - Food For Free and Plants For A Future- Ken Fern. Anyway I look forward to seeing you around on the forums, I must dash before my curry goes cold
