Just to say Hello.

Hi to all.
What a sight for learner, found the site looking for photographs of Green Woodpeckers and came to this. Have a lot to learn such good images to see from so many good photographers.
I live on Foulness Island in Essex, very flat and can be very cold, but a safe haven for all sorts of wildlife. Hope I can show just a few of them, thanks from me. Martin.

Re: Just to say Hello.

Hello Martin

A warm welcome to WAB.

I live just around the corner in Basildon. It is good to see a few more Essex lads sign up .... we need to keep those folk across the water in Kent in check .

As a resident of Foulness, I guess you must see some wonderful wildlife, particularly during the winter months. I believe that the rest of us are still banned from visiting by the Ministry of Defence. The nearest I get is occasional visits to Wakering Stairs. WAB is therefore relying on you personally to inform us of the delights of Foulness .

Richard

Re: Just to say Hello.

Hi there to you all,
I also found this site by accident looking for pictures of Goldfinches. I live in the Fens uk and my absolute favorite bird is the Robin. I get most of the Garden Birds including woodpeckers and in the winter i have Reed buntings to visit, who i might add love Christmas cake. My photographs are not as good as yours but i love to get a record of what I see. I also have an old willow tree that we have noticed Lunar Hawk Moths hatching from holes near the base. I really was blown away by the photographs.
